From roughly 50 media releases in the 1st half of 2016, PAISO under a new leadership delivered over 200 media releases in the 2nd half of the year. As of April 2018, the number of content produced by PAISO for the year has exceeded the total number produced in the last five years.
Beginning the second half of 2016, PAISO rapidly expanded its content delivery by opening various media channels.
PAISO reformatted the monthly newsletter ‘QC Now’ into ‘QC Headline Balita’. From English, the language shifted to Filipino to better communicate with people in the communities. From 2,500 copies in the old dispensation, PAISO now produces 50,000 copies of QC Headline Balita and is distributed in the barangays and communities by the Office of the City Mayor, the Quezon City Public Library and the Barangay and Community Relations Department.
PAISO has likewise partnered with Smart Communications and made Quezon City as the first LGU in Metro Manila to use its Infocast SMS (text messaging) broadcast system. Through this facility, PAISO is now capable of making announcements and emergency alerts directly on the phones of Smart subscribers.
PAISO — as the legally mandated information agency of the city government – also serves as the Public Information Officer of the QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council under the Incident Command System.
